DAFT's ART IN MOTION WORKSHOP 2012
Have you ever wanted to add a new dimension to your own art? Or sought to bring an exciting multi-disciplinary art form into your classroom? Art in Motion is a great workshop presented by Digital Arts Film & Television designed to provide an intensive hands-on experience in animation for classroom teachers and other interested adults. The instructors have many years of classroom and professional experience in animation and promise a week full of learning and fun.
University credit (3 hours) is offered through Central Michigan University for an additional fee paid to CMU.
TOPICS COVERED:
This course will provide an opportunity to try a variety of different kinds of animation including cell, cut-outs, drawing under the camera, object animation, pixilation and claymation. Other aspects such as storyboarding, editing, adding sound, and (for teachers) classroom applications are included.

WHEN & WHERE:
Art in Motion will meet July 9 - 13, 2012. Classes meet daily Monday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm and Friday until 1 pm at the beautiful Howell Nature Center, an educational facility between Lansing and Detroit.
FEES:
The tuition for Art in Motion is $600, which includes most materials, lunch, and a compilation DVD of all work produced. University credit (3 hours) is offered through Central Michigan University for an additional fee paid to CMU. Accommodations are available for an additional $100, which includes breakfast and dinner.
