DAFT Announces First-Round Festival Judging Moved to Online

March 11, 2020 - 6 pm

With the recent coronavirus news, DAFT has decided to move its first round of voting online for the first time instead of on-site at Lawrence Tech and the Careerline Tech Center (Holland), originally scheduled for Saturday March 14th.

While we always look forward to judging day with the camaraderie and substance it provides feedback to the student, our Festival committee feels that the online route is the most prudent step.

Online judges will be completing their first round reviews by Sunday March 15th. The final round of judging will be completed on Friday March 20th.

Anyone interested in being an online judge is encouraged complete the very quick survey at this link to let us know how many entries you can comfortably handle over the weekend--normally you'd be watching 25 entries at a judging site.

Special thanks to Jody Gaber of LTU and Bill Wolbrink of the Careerline Tech Center as well as to our Festival committee who has been making some long preparations and had to make some quick decisions today.
