Thanks to Kara Clayton of Thurston High School of South Redford schools who sent this along...
We just concluded the judging for the 18th annual THTV Academy Awards last night. Although all of the judges agree that the production quality of the videos has improved over the years, the level of creativity/story development is just not there anymore. I think a lot of it is that students look at Youtube and just copy ideas, calling it their own. And, after 19 years of teaching, I think I am running out of ideas as well.Is anyone else in the same boat? Would it be possible to convene a group to brainstorm/share video ideas with other teachers either through an online forum, or as a session at an upcoming workshop?
So, after our great Media Teachers Symposium on February 28th, we're going to start our first blog-discussion going!
